This qualification is designed for individuals working in community, home, or residential care settings, who operate under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team. They follow individualised care plans to deliver person-centred support to people needing assistance due to age, disability, or other circumstances.
These workers take responsibility for their tasks within the boundaries of their role and authority. They possess a blend of factual, technical, procedural, and some theoretical knowledge needed to provide person-centred support.
To complete this qualification, candidates must have undertaken at least 120 hours of work as specified in the Assessment Requirements of the competency units.
